inspiration:
Our spirit bears traces of our environment, loved ones, the air we breathe in. These traces are our unintended inspirations and touch everything we create. They are the most inevitable and perhaps the most sincere nutrients of design. The moment, one surpasses looking around and begins to see things, he grasps that every single curve, solution, idea is just floating there, in terms of shapes, tones even sounds...
incarnation
The universe has been introducing some beautiful forms, where every single curve, connection, dimension can be explained through rationality... Design is the rational art to improve the amazing diversity of this environment by touching its visual composition and its way of functioning. It needs to be done in a way, the nature has been using to design for billions of years.
quotations
“All supreme creators were supreme workers. Besides their everlasting energy for creating, they never got tired of rejecting, eliminating, reshaping, rearranging, recomposing.” Friendrich Nietzsche - 1878 (Allzumenschliches 1)
"Life is more complicated than we think, yet far simpler than anyone dares to imagine.” Lawrence Durrell - 1960 (Clea)
"...there it was before his eyes - he did not see it - he heard it in chords he thought that there was a common language of thought, sight and sound - was it mathematics? - the dicipline of reason - music was mathematics - and architecture was music in stone..." Ayn Rand - 1947 (The Fountainhead)
society
Designing means composing the environment for the society, acquiring the right to reshape the world. This is why it introduces one of the most complex responsibilities ever. You have to better in order to serve the quality of your life and of the society, both in such a direct way, but with such unlike affections.

SERVICES
- concept
The design is responsible about providing answers to three essential questions: the essence that defines the object, its functionality that renders the utility and its aesthetics…
Generating new ideas re-formulates concepts, suggests solutions considering the requests and creates a fresh perspective. It is critical to generate free and innovative ideas and this is only possible by thinking without any limits. Otherwise design is limited to presenting what is already available inside different forms.
Brainstorming is performed in the light of market research. During brainstorming every idea is valuable. Only after, the ideas are evaluated based on realistic design criteria.
- strategy
The relationship between the product and the target market is examined in the first place. That leads to a substantial information, which often shows a very rational approach to the design.
Carrying out a good market research, anticipating the details that can provide added value for the company, understanding the nature and the potential of the market and respecting the differences between the markets are factors that are considered with care during the design process.
Tracking the market trends and thus creating opportunities to induce future tendencies are essential to be in the lead.
- research
In order to provide a high-quality design service, it is vital to carry out a detailed market research and to evaluate the latest developments, trends and the economic scenery. It is critical to understand the needs in the market and to detect the unanswered requirements. This enables the creation of added value for the company through the designed product. The research methods include the comparison of existing products, and the observation of consumers, their product purchase and lifestyle tendencies.
Understanding the company’s position in the market and shaping the design strategy in the light of the anticipated needs are crucial aspects, founded on the market research stage.
- design
Design is more than generating an aesthetic object. Finding the right design strategy requires an extensive reflection about how to make a strong impact on the market. Sometimes this can be achieved through a product, a product line, but sometimes through a marketing campaign or simply a new packaging concept.
The design of a new product or a product series is one of the most important steps in the execution of these strategies. The design phase of the project is also crucial since the production costs of the product depends on the design decisions. Therefore throughout the design stage, the client is informed about all technical and visual details, and the required engineering and design support is provided for a trouble-free production stage.
- engineering
Engineering services provided by MD during the production phase include the preparation of product prototypes and the generation of rational and practical solutions concerning product components. Additionally, md monitors the production process and provides solutions to problems which may arise during production using the feedbacks received through its network of manufacturers and technology providers.
MD ensures that considerations for design and engineering proceeds congruously through the production phase. Before proceeding to the production phase, it is crucial to analyze possible production technologies and innovative and contemporary materials that can be utilized in the project. md performs this analysis and shares the outcomes with the clients as suggestions on production techniques and material choices.
- production
The production phase that is initiated with the completion of detailed production data, continues with precise and coordinated work with the manufacturer(s).
Besides the photo-realistic imagery and mock-ups created during the design phase, the technical drawings and other details necessary for production are generated with 2D and 3D CAD tools and are delivered to the manufacturers.
In the production phase, md serves as an engineering and R&D department, providing production suggestions and carrying out the revisions necessitated by these suggestions.
- communication
In the presentation of the product to the market (process of presenting the product to the market), md can create a consistent communication language for the product, including packaging design, and its visual presentation in sales and marketing activities. This is important in strengthening the link between the product and the consumer. Today, the presentation of the product to the target market through the right communication language is as important as the development of the product.
Taking the right decisions regarding visual specifications, graphics, and marketing factors on the point of purchase, and their successful implementation are vital in increasing sales. A more consistent communication language can be generated by the individual/group responsible for the design of the product. An insufficient product can be successful in sales through a skilled presentation and communication language, but also a good product can prove unsuccessful in sales due to a wrong presentation and marketing language.
- effect
By monitoring the market impact of the designed product, md assists the company in determining its future projections, and strategies concerning the product and other new product designs. Working in coordination with the company’s marketing department and in the light of indications on market impact, md develops innovative projects and trendsetter product concepts.
md stands for the protection of intellectual property rights of the project and suggests its clients to carry out design registration and/or patent applications concerning the product. The visual and technical drawings and documents necessary for design registration, utility model and patent applications are provided, together with consultancy about the application process.

PATENTS
ARTUS - Expansion Joint System
Patent Pending
Client: Asteknik
EXPANSION JOINT SYSTEM WITH CONCENTRIC ARMS and AMORPHOUSLY SHAPED MEMBERS
Artus relates to the field of floor expansion joint profiles, where the selection of profile type is highly important, because the floor is subject to loads from pedestrians, vehicles etc.
This system introduces a new structural design that enables a more effective stress distribution on the members under vertical loads and establishes the required strengths with less usage of material.
This is established by using concentric contours on the profile arms and organic shaped details, as in the bone structural system. This approach results in a more effective stress distribution among the profile network thus reduces the max stress built under the subjected loads.
Thus, the required strength can be established with decreased thicknesses in the member profiles. This diminishes the use of the related material and offers a more economic and eco-friendly design.
